Intensive Therapy Retreats
What does it involve?
Rapha Health offers a range of individualized, private couples retreats to help you rebuild and repair your relationship. Retreats can be held at one of the luxury Spicers Retreats in South East Queensland, at one of our Rapha Health clinics or a location of your choosing throughout Australia. Each retreat involves only one couple receiving up to twelve hours of intensive therapy from an experienced clinical psychologist. The therapy framework used is drawn from Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotion-Focussed Couples Therapy, both of which are scientifically validated for dealing with relationship distress.
Investing in your marriage
The cost of your retreat package covers the following:
- Up to two pre-retreat assessment sessions conducted via phone, Skype or face-to-face where possible,
- An extensive online assessment developed by the Gottman institute which assists in pinpointing and understanding areas of difficulty in the marriage,
- Two nights accommodation at one of the luxurious Spicers Retreats (or a location of your choosing),
- Up to twelve hours of therapy with a clinical psychologist over 2/2.5 days.
As an approximate guide the cost of the total package ranges from $3 500 to $5 500 (fees vary according to whether your retreat is conducted at our clinic, at one of the Spicers properties or at another location of your choosing). Most retreats are conducted during the week and additional fees may apply to weekend retreats. An exact cost can be provided at the time of your enquiry. Private health rebates may apply in some circumstances.
Your retreat facilitator
Your retreat is conducted by Dr Gavin Brown, an experienced clinical psychologist who has worked in both private practice and public health settings. Gavin has completed the required levels of training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is now a Certified Gottman Therapist.
